Philty11 sent me a scan from a concert review that appeared in Aardschok no. 12 in probably May 1982. Bodine played the following set list for 1,000 viewers in Brugge:

Rock Machine
Pumpin' Iron
Freight Train
Heavy Rain
Wild Fire Queen
Rock Rosetta
Heavy Metal Heart
Hard Times
Aragorn
--drum solo--
Hardrock Lovers
--encore--
Regular Rocker
On The Lookout

In those days, journalists had the custom to write down the set list in the aarticle. It's a pity they don't do that any longer. After all, the set list is more or less the only relevant objective information about a concert--the rest is interpretation.

Nice one !

only songs from the first two albums, no sign of Three Times Running yet.
Only 'hard rock lover' leaves a question mark ?? ...maybe a cover from Mothers Finest ?
This was also a band liked and promoted by Alfred Lagarde.

There is a sign of Three Times Running though--"Hard Times". Sometimes bands play songs live before they appear on record, to see the impact of it on the crowd. It is interesting to see that Bodine did this too.

It's the second time I spotted "Hard Rock Lovers" on a Bodine setlist (the other one was on the set in Hohenlimburg).

I am not sure about the origin of "Hardrock Lovers". Perhaps this track was to appear on their fourth album, if things had turned out differently??

How nice to fantasise about what could have been!

yeah how could i forget ; offcourse Hard Times is from TTR
Same thing happened during Metallica (with Twisted Sister)
when they played at the Stadsgehoorzaal - Leiden (06-06-84).
They already played some songs from the forthcoming Ride the Lightning album ; the titeltrack, Creeping Death and Call of the Ktulu.
Always nice to get a sneak preview (or prehear ?) :cheer:
