NEW LIVE RECORDING UNEARTHED
Facebook contact leads to another sensational discovery

TBF 20149 July 2014: Egbert Berenst is a busy metal head who organises the Taken By Force Metalfest. This year's edition will take place on 4 October (check out the bill on the right). He contacted Regular Rocker with an interesting mail through facebook: "I have converted three songs from tape to mp3. They're from the Heipop Festival in Bussum. I know two titles, but I don't recognise the third one. Where can I send them to?"

Did you read that? Make sure, read again:

"I know two titles, but I don't recognise the third one."

And again:

"I know two titles, but I don't recognise the third one."

Bodine Mk-I performed at Heipop in Bussum on 27 June 1981, a festival that also hosted Dr. Feelgood and Dexy's Midnight Runners, as sources on internet seem to suggest. Later that day, Bodine performed on stage at De Kasbah in Maarssen. For economic reasons it wasn't uncommon in those days for bands to do two concerts on one day. With the fees they earned they simply had to. Long story short:...

Another Mystery Solved!

22 may 2014: No one other than the one and only Jeronimo has helped solve a question that remained unanswered for almost a acheter du cialis en ligne year: Where were these photos taken? Read the third comment! I turns out to be Opsessie in Bussum, formerly known as 't Krogt (Dutch lingo for 'the den'). Jeronimo has irrefutable arguments for his conclusion. He even connects these photos to the date of the event (30 April 1984). One of the last gigs with Arjen 'Ayreon' Lucassen!
Thanks, Jeronimo!

BACK WITH A BANG!

Sorcerer Logo 1

3 May, 2014: It's been a while since the previous update, and SORRY to keep you all waiting so long, but Regular Rocker is back with a MAJOR SCOOP! It turns out that 'Rock Machine' was covered way back when, by a US metal band called Sorcerer!!! Check out the kick-ass demo here!

What makes this recording unique is that it's the oldest proof of influence by Bodine on another band beyond the borders of the Netherlands. In addition, Sorcerer added a bit thrashier touch to it. The drummer of Sorcerer was George Chahalis. He later joined Harter Attack which released the album Human Hell and supported Nuclear Assault on a couple of American tours. Check out an excerpt from the email exchange with George:

New gig date unearthed!

25 June 2013: Mark Hendriks is a neighbour to Erik van der Ven and the two of them attended a Bodine concert on 21 November 1982 in De Puttershoek, Haps. Mark's younger brother came along too. Now,
